Listening to your “gut.”

You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against any of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.

     ~ Leviticus 19:18 NRSV

The finest thing in the world is knowing how to belong to oneself.

      ~ Michel de Montaigne

I missed it.  I knew something was not quite right when we left for the theatre, but I did not know what it was.  The movie was an important one for sure.  The adults involved did not effectively communicate with each other, and in the end, there was hurt.   Five folks who care deeply for each other missed an opportunity to deepen their relationship.

We all love one another still.  We all will see films together. But next time, I will find out why “my gut” was telling me something was very wrong.

Today, listen to your “gut” and follow through.  Because we belong to someone who knows us better than we know ourselves.

Because of Him,
Linda
