Feelings are much like waves, we can’t stop them from coming but we can choose which one to surf.

“The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your brethren—him you shall heed—”

     ~ Deuteronomy 18:15

The scripture refers to Moses, and this scripture is a foreshadowing of Christ.  Christ who came to us as an infant, was an obedient child, was discovered lecturing in the temple at the age of 12, was a young man when his ministry began and was accomplished.

So often, youth are politely tolerated, ignored, passed over, given lip service to.  No matter where they serve, they were summoned by Christ to come to him as he ministered on the road.  The disciples had to be reprimanded for holding them back.

Listen! Our youth and young adults and young men and women are speaking.  Listen for the voice of truth in them today.  Treat them as the adults that they are, that they are becoming, that you wished your nuclear family or church family would hear even now.

Because of Him,
Linda
