A Poem for Winter

If you have time to whine and complain about something then you have the time to do something about it.

Light-seeds are planted in the souls of God’s people,
Joy-seeds are planted in good heart-soil.

Thoughts After Rehearsing a Lament
For A.H.
The trees, limned in ice,
high lights that shimmer
into the night, like chandeliers.
Catching and holding glory
each headlight that passes,
a soul feeling winter’s chill.
Let us rise, like a mist of praise
covering all, ascending to You.
Unfreeze our will Lord,
let it melt and unfold to You
like a snow drop, calling spring.
  – Linda D
Today, look for the shine.
Because of Him,
