He taught me how…

Not only that—count yourselves blessed every time people put you down or throw you out or speak lies about you to discredit me. What it means is that the truth is too close for comfort and they are uncomfortable. You can be glad when that happens—give a cheer, even!—for though they don’t like it, I do! And all heaven applauds. And know that you are in good company. My prophets and witnesses have always gotten into this kind of trouble.
                                                 ~ Matthew 5:11-12

If instead of a gem, or even a flower, we should cast the gift of a loving thought into the heart of a friend, that would be giving as the angels give.

Dear Lord,

I am thankful for the fresh breath that you are breathing through our lives, our homes, our places of business,
the places where we worship you.
I am thankful for the wave of living water that washes over
our children, our teachers, our administrators,  pastors, our pastor’s families, our church leadership, the very streets.
Help us to allow it to revive us, refresh us, help us to let go of the past hurts, betrayals, injustices as you bring us closer to what you know we can be.
We will give you all the glory and honor and praise.  In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit

Oh Happy Day!

Because of Him,
Linda
