A Stable is a Noisy Place

Love is what’s in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.

                        ~Author unknown, attributed to a 7-year-old named
                            Bobby

And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

                        ~ Luke 2:6-7 KJV

A stable is a noisy place,
lowing and mooing,
neighing and cooing.

A chorus’ unlikely space,
donkey is braying
crow song is playing.

Amidst all the sound
a baby sings out
a star light now shouts.

A king lies in fear
his notes are untrue
three wise men eschew.

Camels’ trail near
shepherds are there,
the world kneels in prayer.

the shadow reached for six miles,
and into eternity.

Because of Him,
Linda
