Forgiving is rediscovering the shining path of peace that at first you thought others took away when they betrayed you.

Let us give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the merciful Father, the God from whom all help comes! 4 He helps us in all our troubles, so that we are able to help others who have all kinds of troubles, using the same help that we ourselves have received from God. ~ 2nd Corinthians 1:3-4
Brings someone along side. That is what the King James Version says.
“He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us. “
Over and over yesterday, I seemed to be wearing an invisibility cloak. Over and over last night people stopped in to see me (school conferences) to affirm me, my role in their children’s lives. I was fortunate to have the company of my husband throughout the evening. It was wonderful. I was able to get some work done, he was able to read, and it was all accented with love.
I look back over my life and see those that the Lord has brought along side of me, and I am thankful to be able to see a few of those to whom the Lord has brought me alongside. God is so good. Whether I am invisible or not, I have Jesus alongside of me , who was also invisible to many while he was alive and to many since His death on the cross. I am in good company. I am also never without someone along side of me as long as I remember this.
Today, I pray that you are encouraged by those who suddenly “appear” to tell you what you mean to them. You mean so much to me and to the one who has never left your side.
