Conscience is that still, small voice that is sometimes too loud for comfort.
~ Bert Murray
God wasn’t attracted to you and didn’t choose you because you were big and important—the fact is, there was almost nothing to you. He did it out of sheer love, keeping the promise he made to your ancestors. God stepped in and mightily bought you back out of that world of slavery, freed you from the iron grip of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Know this:God, your God, is God indeed, a God you can depend upon. He keeps his covenant of loyal love with those who love him and observe his commandments for a thousand generations. But he also pays back those who hate him, pays them the wages of death; he isn’t slow to pay them off—those who hate him, he pays right on time.
~ Deuteronomy 7:9-10
We have a friend who has, in the past, written in this devotional. He visits New York regularly. He makes a business of helping those with hearing loss, helping those in trouble, taking in lost souls.
On one of his visits, he walked into our church and after a time he noticed out loud that the prayers of the saints were in the very walls, waiting to be released. At the time, I was hard pressed to believe that they could get out. I began to look for signs however.
He continued to visit and upon another visit, he remarked that the prayers were near the surface. Our church went through a lengthy renovation, and with the changing of the building, it would seem that the prayers have been released.
Saints that I have yet to meet prayed two hundred years ago and beyond for the body of Christ in Northport, NY, for the saints past, present and future. And God has answered many of their prayers, right on time. There are some yet to come.
You are the saints, and your prayers are being answered, waited on, or stored up in vials to be released in God’s timing.
Today, give thanks for those who prayed in the past, whose prayers are still being answered, and for those who have the vision and hearing, to listen to the very walls.
Lord thank you for those who can hear you in the walls, the very atmosphere, all over the world and beyond.
Because of Him,
