Armour – Under and Over

And that about wraps it up. God is strong, and he wants you strong. So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way. This is no afternoon athletic contest that we’ll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels.

Consider the postage stamp: its usefulness consists in the ability to stick to one thing till it gets there.

A colleague recently remarked, “You must be able to do this job in your sleep!”
When I closed my open jaw, I was able to tell her that while I know the skills that I must teach, the way in which I teach them changes all the time, as does the terminology in education.  I was also able to tell her that I must not ever be bored because if I am bored, the kids will be bored as well.
We are given tools, some simple, some more complex, to use in our daily walk, in the wars, in the times of peace.  How we use them often depends on the situation we are in.
Yesterday, I learned how to make a see-saw with legos.  I also learned that the next project depends on building on the first one, and that the first one must be built properly for the second one to work.  Same bricks, different configuration for a different purpose.
Today as you prepare to walk out the door, don’t forget your whole armour, but let the Ruler over all show you when to use exactly which piece of your wardrobe for the “Plan of the Day.”  Maybe today, your shield will be a sled or a boogie board.  And maybe you’ll need it for a different kind of engagement.  You will be prepared for everything.
Because of Him,
