The Wind is Blowin’ Again

The dust and odour of ancient libraries, the gloom of those crypts of literature, have… all the charm of freshest images and freshest poetry.

                             ~ Alexandre Vinet (1797–1847)

Now that we are set right with God by means of this sacrificial death, the consummate blood sacrifice, there is no longer a question of being at odds with God in any way. If, when we were at our worst, we were put on friendly terms with God by the sacrificial death of his Son, now that we’re at our best, just think of how our lives will expand and deepen by means of his resurrection life! Now that we have actually received this amazing friendship with God, we are no longer content to simply say it in plodding prose. We sing and shout our praises to God through Jesus, the Messiah!
                              ~ Romans 5:10-11

We rise again every day.  Given a new chance to keep our eye on the goal. A new chance to spread the love of God, provide the gift (not easy) of corrective instruction, or solace for one who has continually and consistently done you wrong.  Every day is a new chance to be a good example without being a Pharisee.
Sometimes we are the ancient crypts of God’s word, and as He we are “picked up” and opened, God breathes afresh on us.  Certainly here in the Northeast  in the USA, “the wind is blowing again.”
Today, before you step in the door, let the Lord go first, let His breath be your guiding star.
