The Fragrance of Bees

Bees do have a smell, you know, and if they don’t they should, for their feet are dusted with spices from a million flowers.
                                                     ~Ray Bradbury

My purpose in writing is simply this: that you who believe in God’s Son will know beyond the shadow of a doubt that you have eternal life, the reality and not the illusion. And how bold and free we then become in his presence, freely asking according to his will, sure that he’s listening. And if we’re confident that he’s listening, we know that what we’ve asked for is as good as ours.
                                                     ~ 1 John 5:14-15

They fly from bloom to bloom,
dusting their feet in gold
a bouquet of  varied sprinkle
spreading good news of old.

Always a-buzz with life
nary a sting is felt
smoke the bee keeper’s friend
he checks the golden smelt.

It’s nectar a healthy boon,
to battle the air of spring,
we ingest it’s golden drops
relief it often brings.

And so it is with Jesus
take Him in each day,
a spread his news like pollen
along life’s verdant way.

For He is is that lives in you,
in Him you live and move,
breathe Him in, share the fruit
that in you, his presence proves.

Because of Him,
Linda
