Brotherhood (and sisterhood) of Man

There are many men of principle in both parties in America, but there is no party of principle.

                                           ~ Alexis de Tocqueville

The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know. Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so we can be quietly about our business of living simply, in humble contemplation. This is the way our Savior God wants us to live.

                                            ~ 1 Timothy 2:1-2

We all have something to say about this election.  Not all of us are saying ANYTHING at all.  But we do.  Have something to say.

I have asked myself how many times I have prayed for any administration, any throne, any dictatorship.  My answer always comes back, “not enough.”

I have listened to folks I truly admire point fingers, accuse, belittle.  I have had to deal with the four fingers pointing right back at me when I have done the same.

     Pray especially for.

     Rulers and their governments

     To rule well

     so we can be quietly

about our business of living simply,

     in humble contemplation.

This is the way our Savior God

      wants us

      to live.

Brotherhood of Man

I know that some of you think that I live in a pie in the sky world.  But, quite frankly, I like it there, where I can believe the best in everyone, and hope that my prayers reach home, and that they make a difference, just like a vote.  But my vote is for God’s will.  And no matter who gets elected tomorrow, pray harder.  Every day.  For all in power, which, is all God given.

     Because of Him,
