“All parents believe their children can do the impossible. They thought it the minute we were born, and no matter how hard we’ve tried to prove them wrong, they all think it about us now. And the really annoying thing is, they’re probably right.”
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
~ Matthew 28:18-20
So our ultimate parent believes in us and has given us a task; teach all nations. Okay, you say, no biggie…for an extrovert.
And you might just be correct, or at least feeling somewhat justified.
Tim McGraw – Humble and Kind
I am sure you noticed that many of the acts of kindness pictured here were wordless. And for some of you, even those are challenges. However, you can hold the door, in love, and you can give a glass of water to someone without a word. You can write an email and be brief and pointed in your message. What matters is in whose name you set out each day, and your attitude and your countenance.
Lord help me to spread the gospel with a simple “God Bless You.” when someone sneezes, or in my response of “Yes, He does!” when someone says it for me. Help me to be humble and kind.
